    Division 10 Estimator

    Company Overview:

    Cap8 Doors & Hardware is a full-service Division 8 & 10 distributor and installer located in Washington, D.C. and serving the Mid-Atlantic region. Cap8 offers a comprehensive range of architectural products from top-tier manufacturers. We distribute materials to federal entities, multi-family units, schools, hotels, offices, senior living facilities and other large scale architectural projects.

    Cap8’s team is expanding, and we are currently looking to hire additional Division 10 Estimators to our team.

    Recent college graduates (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees) are highly encouraged to apply!

    Job Requirements:

    •Knowledge within the trade of doors, frames, and hardware is required
    •Knowledge of construction drawings and blueprints
    •Self-motivated, detail oriented, ability to multi-task with advanced problem-solving techniques
    •Proficient communication skills with timely follow-up
    •Uphold high value for customer service relationships
    •Must be an expert in Excel


    •Collaboration with vendors and purchasing agent to procure the most cost-effective pricing
    •Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications
    •Creating proposals and providing value engineering opportunities to customer base
    •Direct communication with customers via phone, email, or jobsite visits
    •Ability to meet bid date schedules & deadlines
    •Following up, negotiating, and closing bid projects

    •Attention to detail
    •Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
    •Proficiency in Microsoft Word
    •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    Additional Requirements:

    •Employee must have their own home office (e.g., computer, monitor, printer, etc.) to work remotel (when necessary).
    •Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees are strongly preferred
    •Recent college graduates are highly encouraged to apply
