Cap8 Doors & Hardware™ is a full-service door distributor and installer located in the district and serving the Mid-Atlantic region. Cap8 is looking for an individual who can perform warehouse activities such as receiving, storing, picking, loading, and driving Cap8’s vehicles. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining inventory management system up to date
- Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers
- Operate forklift and pallet jacks
- Stack and palletize products
- Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers
- Receiving, labeling, picking, packing, and loading trucks
- Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work
- Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting, and operating the delivery vehicle
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in any other activity required by warehouse manager
- Ensure a clean work environment
- Collaborate with other members of the team in any activity required by superior.
- Stack and palletize products
- Skills using automatic and manual packaging machines, scales, and printing devices
- Relabeling and relocating material as needed
- Assist in any other activity inside-outside Cap8 required by superiors
- Following Cap8’s procedures regarding receiving, storing, picking, and loading trucks.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Backup driver as needed
- This position reports to Warehouse Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Proven ability to work independently
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Up to date with COVID Vaccination and booster shot
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 90 pounds.
- Standing long hours.
- Physical work required
- The typical workday starts at 6:00 am at the job site or warehouse.
- Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, cold, etc.)
- Ability to operate forklifts
- 3+ years of experience as a warehouse assistant and/ or quality control inspector
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Solid problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient using technology, including smartphones, computers, and emails.
- Construction Field experience, three years (Preferred).
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Work in a face-paced environment, completing multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
- Knowledge of proper safety practices when using tools.
- Experience with hand and power tools, including hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and cordless drills.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus

Salary: $41,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
